Okay. It’s after 10:30, way past my bedtime, and I’m going there, but I just thought I’d put this out there.
I just reread all of what I’d posted for Firebolt Ring, ykno, hoping to get back in the groove. And I found myself thinking, “Wow, I wrote that? Nifty!” Not actually a good sign. And then I searched my trusty laptop to find the mysterious and unfinished next part of Firebolt Ring. There it was – first section done, second section just begun, and then it just stopped, and I thought… “Oh dear. I don’t remember what comes next.”
The good news is that in general I know what comes next, and hell, I could just make it up. I mean, that’s sort of what I do anyway…
The point: I just spent my entire evening researching (granted, I was researching my own work, but it was necessary) and while it was fun to reread, I’m not sure it helped. ::sigh:: Perhaps sleeping on it will help. Here’s hoping for inspiring and viktorous dreams. (You know, as opposed to the zukalicious ones.)
