If you’ve never done it, reading ‘that Passion’, which is a title that applies to any of the gospel accounts of Jesus’s death, is always a powerful thing, and this is true for many reasons.
One reason that is perhaps often overlooked is the fact Jesus knew he was going to die. He didn’t run. He didn’t hide. And arguably, it was actually why he came; to teach us that there is another way, a way of love that the world does not know, and that (here it comes) love is stronger than death. Not even death will win in the end. Love wins.
Love wins.
