So. I’m working on my sermon for this week, right? Right. And when I do it right, I get into this happy zen place where I’m uber creative and talking to God, and it just sort of flows. Right. But other random things pop up, too, things that have absolutely nothing to do with what I’m working on. Here’s one of them:
A deep awareness of the pain wrought in individuals and socieities because of the excesses of Christendom, indeed the great and bloody sins that Christendom is known for (from the Inquisition to condemning the use of condoms as immoral), has led me to be apologetic, perhaps over apologetic, of my own resonances with God and God-awareness through the Christian framework I was given at birth. Perhaps it is appropriate for me to be unapologetically resonant with God, unapologetically God-aware, and unapologetically Christian – though perhaps not Christian in a way that the majority or the historical record would recognize.
In other news- hi! It’s been a while since I updated. Lots of things have occurred. I live in a new place. I live in a new job. It came with a change in church home. My laptop (Viktor!) died, but I’m living in the Easter hope of resurrection and in Dell’s repair techs. I’ve still been chating with Muse!Viktor, but I’ve been writing in another fandom – though offline and longhand, as Laptop!Viktor has been dead going on three weeks now. …But Zuko is so interesting, you see? Anyway, and I’m back into the martial arts, which I’m very excited about.
With the advent of Viktor 2.0, I anticipate a higher level of activity both on lj, and checking out my friends list. In the meantime, however, I haven’t forgotten about you guys. I love you, and I miss you.
